Support » Plugin: Molongui Authorship » Limited, ok

  • This plugin gives a clunky, hard coded presentation, but it works OK. Yes, it defaults to appear on all pages and posts. You have to disable them one at a time, or buy premium. But the fact that the obnoxious (now a new and improved bright orange-yellow!) sales pitch block taking up space on every administration screen is un-dismissable has convinced me to not buy premium.

    Hi llis!

thanks for your review, we really appreciate it!

I would like to say that the plugin does not have a “hard coded” presentation, as you mention. With the free version you can choose between two different layouts (5 on Premium version, as of release 2.2.1), which you can customize to your liking and site making use of the many styling settings you have available. What is more, you have the live-preview feature, which allows you to see how the box looks like on your site as you change the settings (new on 2.1.0).

You may want to know that the latest release of the plugin (also in free version) has the option to automatically display the author box on:
    – All your posts
    – All your pages
    – All your posts and pages
    – Only on those posts or pages you select
Regardless of the option you choose, you may always override that setting by configuring each post or page individually. So you may select to display the author box on all your posts and then disable it on one you don’t want the author box to be displayed, for instance. That makes displaying options very flexible and able to adapt to any user’s need.

Let me say that it is not completely true what you say about the “go premium” notice. That notice is only displayed on the following admin screens: “Updates”, “Plugins” and on the own settings page. So it is not displayed on every page of your admin dashboard. Obviously, if you buy Premium version, that notice is not there. Anyway, we are making it dismissable in a future release 🙂

Please, feel free to contact us to let us know any request or suggestion you might have about the plugin.

Thanks for the update. The options were rather simple when I installed. Much more there now.
