 * I’m a new user and I’m adding pages to my newly created website. However, there
   is very little functionality on the “edit” function of “add a new page”. I can
   make something Bold or Italic and I can align it left or right, and add a list,
   etc but there is no “paragraph” function to allow me to change the size of the
   font or its color. If I go into the text and add <H1> or any other html command
   it doesn’t get accepted and just defaults back to the basic template settings.
   I’m looking at a YouTube video on WordPress and it shows much more functionality
   than I have. Am I missing something?
 * Thanks

 * [rant on]
    WordPress eliminated a lot of functionality in the latest version
   of the TinyMCE editor. In their (technically correct) view, the other controls
   were allowing users to mix styling with content.
 * What they forgot is that the vast majority (I would guess over 90%) of WP users
   have very limited skill at coding HTML and CSS to get their documents to appear
   the way they want them. A WYSIWYG editor would be greeted warmly by that community
   even if it violated ‘proper’ technique.
    [rant off]
 * Couple of suggestions:
    1. The [CKEditor](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ckeditor-for-wordpress/)
       plugin has a much better array of tools for editing. My only reservation is
       that it sometimes conflicts with other plugins.
    2. The [TinyMCE Advanced](http://wordpress.org/plugins/tinymce-advanced/) plugin
       will let you add back some of the abandoned buttons and let you arrange them
       in a more logical fashion.
