    Is there a limit on the size a backup folder can be.

    Ours is around 7.7GB and always seems to fail, be it sent to Dropbox or sent to a Folder on the server?

    “WARNING: File size of “/home/xxxxx/public_html/xxxxx/wp-content/ai1wm-backups/xxxxx-20180730-034421-902.wpress 8192556708” cannot be retrieved. File might be too large and will not be added to queue.”

    It used to work just fine and works on a second site we have. Any ideas?

    Please exclude ai1wm-backups folder since it was created by All-in-One WP Migration plugin, you don’t need to back up another backup folder 🙂

    That also possible too, but there is one limit about the file size, you can’t back up a single file which larger than your server PHP memory limit, for example, if your PHP server memory is 512MB and the single backup file is about 600MB, the file size issue will happens, it’s PHP limitation as I know 🙂

    Hi, I unchecked the backup backup and ran another attempt;

    Is this due to the backup size still? Are there any changes I can request our server host make?

    It worked originally with a backup over 7GB so I’m not sure why it won’t now 🙁

    Hi @chefc
    Please go to BackWPup > Settings > Jobs, try to set Maximum Script Execution Time setting to about 25 seconds then try again 🙂
    If that not work, please give me a screenshot of your job files tab 🙂

    It’s set to 30 at the moment. Should I reduce it to 25 or is a higher time what we’re trying to achieve here? (I assume yes)

    Hi,

    I managed to accomplish a full download = 5.43GB by unchecking a whole bunch of folders that aren’t required such as;

    wp-clone
    pb_backupbuddy
    backwpup-xxxxxx-temp
    backwpup-xxxxxx-logs
    phpFlickrCache (don’t even use this plugin anymore)
    backupbuddy_backups
    backwpip-xxxxx-backups

    I’m assuming none of these are actually required!

    @chefc
    if you are not use these plugins anymore, I would recommend to remove these folders 🙂
    ( Excerpt backwpup-xxxxxx-temp and backwpup-xxxxxx-logs )
    So can the issue be considered as resolved now?

    Yes I believe so!

    Thanks for your help 🙂
