• I know there’s a number-of-shows limit built into Gigpress, but the artist I’m developing for feels that a good way to avoid looking “not busy enough” is to limit the list to the upcoming month.

(If you’re having a slow month, everyone can see that your “25 shows” stretches out for several months – psychologically, he feels that that’s a stronger negative impact than people seeing a 10-show list for the upcoming month.)

I have a little to-do list to hack the SQL in the plugin every time I update, but it’d be great to stop having to do that and have native support for this kind of limit so that it’ll survive plugin updates without my intervention (say, based on “days into the future” – that’s what I’m doing now; 31 days).

    Pretty please? 🙂

    Thank you!

  • Not a bad idea – so basically a “days” parameter?

    [gigpress_shows scope=”upcoming” days=”31″]

    I’ll think on this!

    Yes, exactly – thanks!

(It would also need to be something that you could suppress from the RSS feed so subscribers wouldn’t see stuff that web site visitors can’t.)
