I’m trying to limit the functionality to just one certain post type. Right now the plugin creates sorting in all the post types in the backend. Is that possible?

To clarify: I used the snippet <?=function_exists(‘thumbs_rating_getlink’) ? thumbs_rating_getlink() : ”?> in a archive and single template of a custom post type.

Yes you can set the post type in the shortcode. Check the FAQ section on all the parameters for the shortcode.

Thanks for your reply! What about when I don’t use the shortcode but the php function?

You can use PHP to render shortcode

Thanks again for your quick replies!

I’m including the shortcode in my archive template now with:
<?php echo do_shortcode(‘[thumbs-rating-buttons post_type=”ch_type” show_votes=”yes” show_both=”no”]’); ?>

But it still renders the sorting columns for all post types in the back end (pages, posts etc)

Ah, I see.

You need to wrap whatever you want to use around a conditional statement.
