    Hi!

Is there a limit to the number of categories assigned to a single listing? We have entries that are assigned to multiple categories, but it seems like there is a limit to the number of categories listings are displayed in? We added for example a listing to the http://www.saam.org.za/mediators/workplace-mediators/ category + several others, the listing is showing in all of the categories except this one. Same with a new entry we made, showing in 7 categories but not the 8th one.

    Please advise?

No, there is no limit to the number number of categories which can be assigned to an entry. What you need to do is flush your page cache so the new page content is displayed.

Hope this helps! Let me know.

Thank you for the feedback. Cleared cache, no luck, listing does not appear in all the categories listed….

    Hi!

The person “Greyvenstein, Laurie” listing should appear on http://www.saam.org.za/mediators/workplace-mediators/ . He is showing in all other categories that he is listed in but in this particular category he is not showing on the front end even though he appears in the category on the backend.

Oh, I see you have your directory broken apart based on categories on many pages.

If the entry is assigned the correct categories in the admin but does not show in the frontend, the issue is likely the shortcode on the page and the options that were set are eliminating that individual from being displayed.

Check the shortcode and its options and make sure that individual meets the criteria based on those options. After you do, make sure you flush your page cache.

    Hi!

Thank you for the feedback 🙂 That helped me solve the riddle. The shortcode is set to sort by [city] and the entry was made with the address > city field empty 🙂
