# Limit Registration

 * I’d like to limit registration on my website to only people with addresses of“
   @schoolname.edu”. Is that possible? If not a current hack, how much coding would
   you think is necessary to implement.

 * Though changing core files is discouraged, you could modify the `is_email` function
   in wp-includes/formatting.php (starting at line 734 in 2.6.2) to do that.

 * Thank you for the start. I will look into that section of the code. I have to
   resolve this as if it will be a school website, it needs to be secure.
