# Limit posts

 * On the front page of the blog, it looks like it is going to list all the posts
   giving me a mile long index page eventually… there was probably a place to **
   limit the posts on the front page**, but I missed it. Anyone tell me where I 
   could do that?

 * Check the **Blog pages show at most ** setting in [Administration](http://codex.wordpress.org/Administration_Panels)

 * If you’ve made changes to your theme to cause that to happen, then you may want
   to take a look at the [Template_Tags|template tag]], [query_posts()](http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/query_posts),
   and the **showposts=** parameter.
