Limit on number of pages?

    Trying to use this plugin to take a static copy of a website, however it gets to approx 4200 files and seems to hang with the symbol whirring round.

    Is there a limit on number of pages the plugin allows, if not does anyone know why it may get so far and not complete.

    Hey @garethbraid,

    there is no direct limit on the number of pages/files in Simply Static.
    However, there may be some limits on your server preventing a full static export.

    The first thing I would recommend is running the export with WP-Cron.
    You can activate that in Simply Static -> Settings -> Advanced.

    This way, you can ensure that your server does not respond with a timeout while doing large static exports, as the process is now running as a background task.
