Limit # of articles when using Hungry Feed

  • I am using Hungry Feed and happy with the results with 1 exception.

    I would like to limit the # of posts/articles, or selectively choose which articles are posted verses the entire feed.

    What would be the easiest way to accomplish this for a code challenged individual?

  • I would like to know how to limit the number of posts from the feed, too.

    If you use the wizard (the blue button on the editor) then there’s settings to limit the max number of posts.

    If you enter your shortcode by hand you can do it like this:

    max_items=”10″

    As for selectively choosing posts, the only option is to filter the feed based on words. You can filter to include only the words you specify, or to exclude posts with certain words. The shortcode params are:

    filter=”include|words|here” filter_out=”exclude|words|here”

    Let me further help someone. You will find the Blue Edit Button (the monster graphic) when your Post/Page is set to “Visual.” You will not see it if it’s set to “HTML.” When you click the little monster guy you get a really handy popup that’s pretty easy to use and it works! This is how I found it.

    good point, thanks!
