Limit number of posts shown on main page

    I would like to show only 10 posts on my main page as opposed to all my posts showing up as you scroll down as the number of posts I have has grown too much.

    I would like to have the rest of the posts in page 2, 3, 4, etc or in other words have 10 posts per page with the viewer being able to select the next page at the end of the page after 10 posts.

    Is this possible?

    Go to dashboard >settings > reading > Blog pages show at most

    I am also having this issue, but my home page does not display my specified number.
    All of my other category pages do.
