Limit Number of Lines on each Tweet

This has been the best plugin that clients use, however, I’ve noticed recently that a few of my clients are posting a lot of content on their tweets-as many as 600 characters. It is really messing with the sidebars. Is there a way that I can restrict the number of lines/characters in the Tweet with a ‘more….’ hyperlink at the end of the tweet to link to the Twitter account?
