Support » Plugin: WP RSS Aggregator » Limit feed items stored

  • In the settings for WP RSS Aggregator I have Limit feed items stored set to 500, but I see that I currently have well over 5000 feeds saved.
Am I interpreting the setting wrong in thinking that no more than 500 feeds should ever be saved?
Is there a way to set a hard limit on the number of items that are saved so my database doesn’t grow too large?
Do I need to run some cron job to clear out the old items that have been saved?

It’s controlled via a cron job which runs once a day and cleans up the extra feeds. If you have many feed sources it might be the case that many feeds get imported during the import process, as there is no limit at that stage.

The other possibility is that the feed culling cron job is not working as it’s supposed to be, so I’ll be doing some testing and will release an update if there is indeed a bug.
