Limit excerpt length of team showcase

I would like to limit the length of the excerpt of the team members on the page they are on, but then get the full bio/text when the click on the image and the extra info pops up.. Please let me know of this is possible. I have tried playing with ‘excerpt’ part of the plgin, but kept seeing the whole text ..
