Limit Category Links Display

    I have an article which was included in the parent category and subcategory:

    Animals > Cat > Cat Atricles

    So I have a display in my post such as:
    Category: Cat, Animals

    How can I hide the display of the parent category “Animals”
    so that the display on my post would look simply like:
    Category: Cat
