  • We quite enjoyed this for inserting — and blocking — in-article advertising. It worked great with post id. The new incarnation appears to need post titles for exceptions, which would be OK, but it seems to be restricted to published posts, which doesn’t work for a periodical when we want to set up the exceptions before the posts are published. This is a minor query tweak. Can it be fixed?

The plugin still uses post IDs to exclude posts. Huge lists of posts for exclusion is not recommended due to performance concerns. I am not sure what your specific use case is but if you have to block ads on more than a handful of posts instead of using the Single Post Exclude feature you should ideally be assigning a category to those posts and then block them using the Single Post Category Exclusion feature.

    But posting here gets responses.

I very much like the Category Exclude idea, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I’ve created a new Category called “AdExclude” and assigned posts to it. Then I’ve gone into WP Insert, clicked on InPost Ads, clicked on Rules, scrolled down to Single Posts and added “AdExclude” to the Category Exceptions. I then previewed the posts which I’ve put into AdExclude, but the InPost ad is still there … I’ve tried this with published and unpublished posts.
