  • I cannot get the lightbox plugin to work. It worked fine on another site of mine, and I haven’t changed anything. Is there any reason why it wouldn’t work with my chaoticsoul theme?

    Looking at my page source, I have this in my <head>:

    <script language="JavaScript"> lb_path = ""; </script>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="" type="text/css" media="screen" />
    <script type="text/javascript" src=""></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src=""></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src=""></script>

    and this is the code around the images:

    <a href="" rel="lightbox"><img src="" /></a>

    Do you see any reason why lightbox wouldn’t work? The image just opens in a new window.

    As far as I know, Lightbox needs class="lightbox" to activate and rel="lightbox" to show images in a set, but maybe this plugin works without the class?

    Anyways, I’ve made a similar plugin that uses a lot smaller js script, only 9KB and works similarly to lightbox. It can be activated for all links pointing to an image (no need for class=…). Have a look at:

    Shutter Reloaded WordPress plugin

    Normaly it is because of prototype.js
    Use the file provided with Lightbox
