# Lifetracking without centering the map

 * Hello,
 * Is it possible to leave life tracking on, but only center the map to the current
   location when it is first loaded?
 * I have quite a lot of tracks in my map and if people want to zoom out and look
   at them the map just recenters on the most current point.

 * The idea is, that if you want to have a closer look at a track, you temporarily
   stop live updates with the control button, maybe you can just add a note about
   that to the page, so people know to click the button?
 * Other than that, it’s not possible. You can comment line 333 (*) in trackserver.
   js to disable the behaviour, but then it won’t center on first load either.
 * That’s one great trip you’re making there, btw. I’m jealous 😉
