• Since they are advertising the Pro version here, it seems worth mentioning that I was cheated out of my pro license, similar to someone else who reported this a few months ago.

    I purchased the “Side Cart For WooCommerce” unlimited license in 2022 when it was explicitly advertised as a lifetime license. I invested in it for future projects, and would never have made the purchase if it hadn’t been offered with lifetime updates.

    When I recently tried to use the plugin for the first time, I found that my license was marked as expired in my customer account, even though the order confirmation clearly states that it never expires.

    I’ve sent two support emails about this issue, but received no response whatsoever. If there was any legitimate explanation for this change, they could have simply addressed it rather than ignoring their customers.

    Sorry you feel that way but honestly no promise was broken.
    “The never expires” message you’re referring to is shown under “post purchase email” and we weren’t aware of it during that time. It is shown by default in WooCommerce emails. We have removed it later on once we were notified about it but again it wasn’t something which drove you in purchasing the plugin. It was shown after you have purchased the plugin.

    The license promise still remains valid. You’re allowed to use the plugin on your site for lifetime, there is no need to renew the plugin and its not an auto renewal service.
    If you wish to continue receiving updates, only then you need to renew annually.

    I need to correct one thing – I never sent any emails. Both of my support requests were submitted through your official contact page form several weeks ago.

    If your argument is that this was a misunderstanding, you certainly went to great lengths to create this misunderstanding. The Wayback Machine proves that in May 2022, there was no mention of an annual subscription anywhere. In fact, your Plugin FAQ clearly stated as the second item:

    “Do I need to renew a license everytime?
    No, its for lifetime”

    Would you like me to send you a screenshot of this?

    If your argument is that you didn’t literally promise “lifetime updates”, what else could customers reasonably conclude from this promise? It’s extremely dishonest to pretend you don’t see how misleading this was and to treat your customers as fools. You’re not the only ones offering lifetime deals online, and I’ve never experienced such unprofessional behavior in numerous similar purchases.

    I am very well aware of this and it was a one time download back then, no automatic updates, nothing.
    We have now taken over the plugin and now constantly push auto updates and add new features.
    You may still use the zip file you downloaded, there are no restrictions on activating it and can use it for lifetime, as promised earlier.
