Leverage Browser Caching & Cache Timeout [new to this plugin]
-
Hi. I just recently uninstalled WP Super Cache because this plugin looks great and seems to have a lot of support behind it. I’m not really a tech person, so please forgive me if my questions seem silly.
1. I ran a pingdom speed test on my website. Some of my slowest pages are loading in about 3 seconds. When I view the “Performance Grade” tab, it states “Leverage browser caching: 1”
I also ran a speed test with Google’s speed test tool and with GTMetrix speed tool, both of which stated I needed to leverage browser caching
I’m wondering if there is something I have not done yet in order to make the plugin cache my site? I currently have Cache System, Gzip, and Browser Caching all checked. Does it take time for my site to get cached by the plugin?
My last question is what should I set the Cache Timeout to? It currently reads “hour” “minute” and “Frequency: Choose One.” I haven’t set any integers because I’m not entirely sure what the feature does.
Thank you very much for reading and responding.
In case this helps my website URL is BoomBoomBracelets.Com.
I’m using the Virtue Theme and have WooCommerce integrated into my site.
