letter not being sent/trying to use send grid

Mail poet was working very well for quite a while and it does exactly as I want and no other plugin does.
But for the last couple of months the letters are not being sent. And neither are my sample newsletters to myself getting through. It says they are sent but nothing is received.
I know the php mail works as I’ve tried other plugins to find a replacement and they work and I’ve sent a change password for my wp and that works.
I’ve tried using send grid but one must answer more questions after the sign up and you have to reply to the email they send which keeps being sent back. So…could you please help me with this. I assume it’s after an update or something. I really would like to continue to use this plugin
