I have an annoying issue where sometimes when i edit a lesson, it reorders them and I have to then go to the reorder lessons area to set them correctly again. It becomes a problem given that each time we have to recheck the whole order to make sure it’s correct which takes time. Is there any way to lock the lesson and module order of a course so they never rearrange?

  • Hi,

Are you on the latest version of Sensei LMS? We fixed an issue in 1.12.3 where the lesson order changed on update when using the Classic Editor plugin, but we haven’t had reports of any other problems since then.

If you’re on the latest version, then we’ll need you to provide a bit more detail that includes reproducible steps, so that we can nail down the root cause and then fix the problem.

    Closing as stale.

Hi, I have one module that I want to be number 5 out of ten in a course, but it always stays at the end of the course. When I use order modules to put it to number 5, when I save order it goes back to the last module again.

I have tried moving other modules behind it, and it still went to the end when I saved the order. Then I deleted the module, thinking that perhaps it had become corrupted, logged off the site and closed my browser, then started everything up again, created a new module with the same name, and again it clung to the end of the list of modules.

What can I do about this?

I’m happy to pay to get support. I don’t need any extensions but don’t mind paying for support. What’s the easiest way to do this? I’m now teaching this course in grad school and need to fix this problem before the students get to this module!

    Thanks
    dave

Dave I have the same exact issue. Would love to get an answer on this.

We also have the same issue. Has anyone found a solution?

We’ve tried everything suggested elsewhere (disabling all other plugins, switching to TwentyTwenty theme etc.) nothing worked. A new release for Sensei came out today, we updated to that… no luck and no mention of it being included in the release.

Extremely frustrating. Essentially has made it unusable.

Also, it’s possible that if you are using a caching plugin it could be interfering. Try disabling it and see if the problem resolves or not. Then post your findings to a new thread.

    Cheers.
