Support » Plugin: LearnPress - WordPress LMS Plugin » Lesson URL without appended number

  • Hello there,

So my issue is quite simple. I use Learnpress and I have a multitude of courses on there. Most of the courses follow the same basic structure (3 introductory pages and 2 finishing pages). Those pages or rather lessons are always pretty much the same and also share the same title (e.g. “Welcome” or “Introduction”, something along those lines).
The issue on hand is that every time I duplicate one of those lessons the url gets messy as it simply appends a number to the end of the url (as to have unique url, i guess).
    I don’t want that.
My url is build as follows: http://www.website.de/section/%course_category%/course_name/lesson/lesson-name(-[number])

Image I have to lessons in two seperate courses:
    The first url would be:
    http://www.website.de/test/test_category/test_course/lesson/welcome

    The second url would be:
    http://www.website.de/random/random_category/random_course/lesson/welcome-1

Even without the appended 1 the URL would be unique, so I don’t understand why it is there. Are all the lessons in the same directory or something.
Can I change any of that behaviour.
I now have over 20 welcome pages and it is starting to get annoying.

I hope someone can help me with that issue.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi tbouveyr,

This issue is due to the lessons are saved in the same place so they have to have the different slugs to separate them.

Thanks for the quick reply hadam,

So there is no way to circumvent it. It wouldn’t be possible to save the lessons in different and categorized directories?

Thanks for clearing it up though. I thought I was getting crazy

    Hi tbouveyr,

Unfortunately now we can’t change it.
