Fast Secure Contact Form
"Less than" and "greater than" symbols (3 posts)

I have a selection field on the contact form with 2 options, only difference being the < and > signs. It's to choose whether the location offers support for < 5 people or > 5 people.

I believe the security in this plugin changes these symbols into _ or - (can't remember which) before the email gets sent out. So I changed the symbols to say "less than" or "greater than."

But I'm also using the Contact From DB plugin, and I'd like to have the symbols displayed rather than text, and I was hoping to not have to manipulate the data so that the CSV that I download can be used as is.

I tried the HTML number (<), but it displays as is on the form. I also tried 03c which also displays as is.

Is there any way around this? Or do I have to somehow automatically manipulate the data in Contact From DB? I don't want to change the core code of the plugin. Thanks!

I had a feeling the HTML codes would get transformed. The HTML number I used was & l t ;, and the other one was \ 0 0 3 c.

This issue needs looking into when I get more time.
