Support » Plugin: » boxes in post pages not send the custom message

  • Resolved Shixons

Hi, I have a problem with the plugin, when I type a custom message in the boxes in the post editor, the plugin sends the default message configured in settings and not the custom message, Is this a bug?.

EDIT: On the way, its possible to NOT send the post content to Facebook?.

    Hi Shixons,

Are you setting the custom message before publishing the post?

Do you want to send the link to Facebook, but not the content?

When I make a new post, I want to send the default message, and the custom message when I update the post, I edit the post, write the custom message and Retweet/RePublish, but it send the default message.

    Yes, just skip the content.

Sorry for my bad english ^^.

When you make the custom message, click the “update” button to save the message. Then click ReTweet/RePublish and let me know if that helps.

If you want to skip the content, you could probably just put a space character in the “custom description” meta field in the Facebook section of your post (before you publish it). If you want it to always be blank, I could probably add a filter in the next release that lets you keep it blank.

Thanks!, both solutions works perfect 😉

Hi again, ¿can you add default custom message for Facebook to the next update please?

PD: From the last update I can’t put an space in custom description, It have to be a dot (.) or something else or it shows the post content.

Do you mean Custom Description? Custom Message is already in the current release. Custom Description will be in 2.0.0, you can try the BETA if you want:

Yes, sorry I mean Custom Description, I’ll try the beta, thanks! ;).
