Just noting this for the record.

After first saving a new post, if you then click back in the editor but don’t make any changes and then navigate to another page – you will still get the leave page / stay on page prompt to save your work … but there is no work to save.

I can no longer replicate this, and will mark it as resolved.

Should you be able to replicate this at some point, feel free to let us know!

Hmmm… i just set up a clean install of wp 4.9.8 and gutenberg 3.5.0, installed gutenberg, and went into the editor for the hello world post. i opened the post attributes accordion but did not select anything. then when i went to leave the page i got the notice “this page is asking you to confirm…”

absolutely nothing was changed but i still got the notice, so there still appears to be a glitch

another example… i went in to edit the hello world page, switched from the code editor to the visual editor, then went to leave the editor page and again got the “this page is asking you…” notice

no changes of any kind were made to the content

I’m going to need some more information then, as I am still unable to replicate this.

What operating system (OS) and browser version are you using?

    Hi Marius,

I tried this again and switching from visual to code editor is no longer causing the notice, however i do still get it when i open post attributes and open the dropdown list to look at it (without selecting anything). Then when i try to leave the page, without having made any changes, i will get the notice popup.
