# Leave A Comment Doesn't Work

 * I am trying to help a friend with her web site – [http://www.heartresources.net](http://www.heartresources.net).
 * At the bottom of the first posting that she put on her home page, there is a 
   link that says “Leave a comment”. When you click on it, it doesn’t do anything
   and just adds “#respond” to the end of the URL for the posting ([http://heartresources.net/2010/08/on-the-path/#respond](http://heartresources.net/2010/08/on-the-path/#respond))
 * Can anyone help me figure out how we can enable people to post comments to her
   postings?

 * Check that comments are allowed in the WP Settings.
 * If already enabled, check posts to see if comments are allowed on the post/page.
 * Then, I’d check comments.php in the theme to ensure the correct code is there.

 * PSM — Thanks for your reply. My friend somehow turned off displaying “Discussion”
   on her post and then the box to allow comments was unchecked as well. That has
   been fixed now. 🙂
 * Two more questions — if you don’t mind:
 * 1. Now that comments work, there are 2 “Leave A Reply” fields for some reason.
   Do you know where this code is that might be showing the duplicates?
 * 2. The words “Leave A Comment” blend in with all of the tags for the posting 
   at the end. Do you know which file needs to be changed so that I can separate
   out the word “Leave A Comment” and make it more prominent?
