Each competition(category) contributes to the event overall winner. So you can win a category but not overall. Your issue is a bit complicated so it took us some time to figure out the best way to do it. * I believe that in your case you could use player lists. You could create a player list for the best players based on a certain stat, in your case each of the competitions. Changing how the event displays that would require some custom code though.
