Lazygallery, Connections and

  • I have been using Lazygallery and a severely hacked theme with 1.5 for some time on my own site – and it works fine.

    However, I have just set up another site using the Connections theme with and the css for the whole site is going totally out the window. After having spent two days trying to work it out and reading through all the relevant text, I gave up and tried to SPG, but the same happens – the css is left out of the equation once the gallery is opened.

    I am losing too much hair now so I am asking if anyone has had the same problems or feels like taking a look?

    The site in question is at http://ukwanders.os42.com and you can access lazygallery by going to http://ukwanders.os42.com/lazy-index.php or the SPG option at http://ukwanders.os42.com/gallery/sp_index.php

    Thanks if anyone feels like having a look for me 🙂

    Can that css link be made absolute at all ?

    Hey Podz – out and about in here on your Birthday. Tut, tut, get home and have a piece of orange jaffa cake for me:)

    But failing that – and you stay here, I tried the absolute path option but still the same.

    Wierd..the CSS validator says it ain’t there:
    The HTML validator says other stuff:

    I think it’s the path still … but it could be old age kicking in 🙂

    shadow i can probably help you out on this a in a few minutes – at least for spg. i’ll be around in an hour or so, so give me a shout online or email and I’ll give you a hand – not sure about alzy gallery but can take a look sometime this week perhaps

    Same file in Shadows gets this result
    – so it makes me think it must be either the Connections theme or or both?

    Just in case anyone else has the same problem, it seems that you need to add
    @import url( <?php echo get_settings('siteurl'); ?>/wp-content/themes/connections/style.css ); in order for the CSS to work effectively. There are quite a few other adjustments you may need to make as well, but this will make it all possible in the first instance..

    Lazy Gallery is now up and running. Thanks for the ideas Podz. Thanks to Jinsan for putting me straight with the above 🙂

    i would like to ask… where do i put”@import url( <?php echo get_settings(‘siteurl’); ?>/wp-content/themes/connections/style.css );”???

    In Lazy Gallery put this into the the lazy-index.php
    <link href="./wp-content/plugins/lazy-gallery/lazy-style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

    or, if you are using Simple Gallery

    put this into the sp_index.php
    @import url( <?php echo get_settings('siteurl'); ?>/wp-content/themes/connections/style.css );

    You need to cut and paste these over the top of the existing lines in each file.

    HTH 🙂

    put this into the sp_index.php
    @import url( <?php echo get_settings(‘siteurl’); ?>/wp-content/themes/connections/style.css );

    Can someone please clarify what sp_index.php is? I cannot find reference to it in my WP files anywhere

    That code already seems to be in the version of LazyGallery I downloaded (0.4).

    I seem to be seeing the same thing with the Shaded Grey theme and Lazy-gallery. when I switch to the WP_Default theme, it appears to work fine. I am using the version of Lazy Gallery that is in the codex here (0.4). It appears that the Simple Grey theme is not being picked up from Lazy Gallery.

    Does anyone have any ideas to help me resolve this?

    I was able to get the theme picked up by using the above hint and adding the following in the lazy-index.php file

    <style type="text/css">
    @import url( <?php echo get_settings('siteurl'); ?>/wp-content/themes/ShadedGrey/style.css );

    I am still having a problem with the theme formatted correctly. Perhaps someone can still asist with that?
