  • I am using Lazyest Gallery for widgets and on the portfolio page here.

I would also like to use WP Super Cache (deactivated at the moment due to this), but I lose the ‘random’ effect. The image(s) that was loaded on caching the page is always presented subsequently to site visitors.

If I put all this in a page template (using 3 on this site), will that be cached (not sure how that works)?

I have read up some on how I could work with WP Super Cache to not cache certain functions as long as I set:

    $wp_super_cache_late_init to “1” in wp-content/wp-cache-config.php

    (FAQ link)

but I am not sure what to setup specifically for Lazyest Gallery, Lazyest Widgets, and also Lazyest Stack which I am now setting up on this page.

Has anyone ran this gambit already, or do either of the plugin authors have some tips (or both)?

  • Please try the really-random-image widget from the Lazyest Widgets plugin. It uses AJAX to fetch the images.

I was in fact actually using that one! I believe it is what caused another issue last night where all the url’s generated when a thumb was clicked on would end with a # and no sideshows would run…so:

I had to deactivate all the LG plugins.

I seem to be back to where I was now.

If I add that widget now, I just get a spinning wheel and the other widgets do not show at all…I am using the basic widgets now, without WP Super Cache, seems to running OK…but again my question was setting this up with WP Super Cache.
