It seems to work fine on desktop now, but not on mobile. The Gravatars lazy load much bigger than they should be and block out a lot of the comments.

It could be anything, so until we can figure out what, I’ll keep it off for the time being as I personally don’t consider this a big issue at all.

On a side note; some people seem to be very quick to blame one particular plugin and give it a 1 star rating, but the problem was caused by something else. Not all kids play nicely in the sand box together, conflicts are inevitable, it’s just the way we address them is what matters, me thinks.

Edit: I think I already found the problem. The Divi theme combines and minifies javascript and CSS. Turning those off in SG Optimizer seems to have solved the issue. Can you perhaps browse my site anyway on mobile and desktop to see how it looks from where you’re sitting?

    Hey Sean,

I just checked the link that you have provided with all front-end optimizations enabled and everything looks ok.

I think that your theme minification/combiniation functionality is not working properly or at least they are not clearing the cache when plugin/theme is updated or if css/js file is edited.

Could you please check the link again and let us know if the issue still exists.

Yes, it still exists, so I put it back the way it was. Could we leave it like it is, for now? But I am curious, how did you get into my WP admin area to adjust those plugin settings? While I was out doing my day job, those changes you made broke some things.

With Divi minify javascript/css on, and the same off in SG Optimizer, everything works. When I turn those features off in Divi and on in SG Opt, the lazy load of Gravatars on mobile no longer works.

Also, I have a Pinterest button that appears on hover over all the images for pinning at the bottom of all posts. With the SG minify feature on, the pin button does not appear, but it does with Divi minify turned on, on both mobile and desktop.

If I may be so bold, Divi is the most popular paid theme in the world, so I’d like to think it works. (cost me €200 for a lifetime license) With that said, I’m still not sure where the problem lies, so I am going to continue some testing, which will include cache flushing, and hopefully through a process if elimination I can find exactly where the problem is. Then we can take it from there.

    Regards,

    Sean.
