Sorry to hear you’re having issues with the Lazy Load feature in Smush, however, I did some tests on my end and I was unable to replicate this.
You can see on the below screenshot that the featured image is shown and that the lazyload class is added:

What I did is I created a new post with featured image and set a static page as blog page.
Checked both Blog page and single post page but both of them loaded featured image without any problems even though Lazy Load is active.
Could you please start a support thread about this so we can check what might be the issue on your site?
In there could you give us some more info about the issue, if it happens on specific pages, like on post list (blog) or on a single post, are there any other plugins applying lazy load as well, etc.
Also, could you include the URL of the page in question so we can have a look at it?
