# Layout question

 * I’m currently using WP 1.2 and had a thought for a new design/layout but have
   no clue how to accomplish it.
    To avoid describing the desired layout incorrectly,
   check out [http://www.pressdemocrat.com](http://www.pressdemocrat.com) and look
   at the main section and you’ll see the main “post” at the top, followed by some
   sub sections. What I’d like to do is a similar thing with the main post at the
   top, followed by some sub sections and then the remainder of the posts at the
   bottom under the sub sections. I don’t know if this could be accomplished by 
   way of telling WP to put certain categories in a specified location on my site
   or if there’s another way to do it. I’m not even sure this is possible but any
   input or suggestions any of you would like to give me would be greatly appreciated!

 * This goes some way beyond design or layout and into the realms of php hacking.
   Or at least using php tags. I think you may find this challenging.

   I suspected, but I was holding out hope that this wouldn’t require me to get 
   learned in PHP =(
