I’ve already figured out how to edit a theme and get it to match my site:
http://www.wickeddelicious.com/blog/ Hurray! 🙂
I have no idea how mysql works, but I thought I’d build my site from scratch using the layout and php used in WordPress. (I’ll be able to better integrate WordPress into my site once I fully understand how it works. I don’t want to make my whole site a blog.)
I’ve created a test layout using the section templates that WordPress uses: Here’s the site: http://wickeddelicious.com/testphp/ The index.php code looks like this:
<?php include (‘header.php’); ?>
<?php include (‘content.php’); ?>
<?php include (‘sidebar.php’); ?>
<?php include (‘footer.php’); ?>
First problem: the sidebar isn’t aligning to the right of my content page. Does it have something to do with the <?php include’s or is it something in my CSS code? I noticed that WordPress uses “<?php get_header(); to insert the sections on the index page.
I still haven’t figured out how to center the whole thing in a browser window. 😛
