• When using the sticky menu in firefox, there are some display bugs I’ve noticed.

They appear when resizing the browser window. On initial load everything works and looks great – but if the browser is resized then the layout of elements do not change correctly. If the window is reduced in width, the menu content does not automatically re-align along with the other page content, but is rather kept in the same position as on the larger initial load window size.

Another issue which sometimes happens, is that when scaling the browser window up from a smaller screen size where the menu is hidden – then the positioning can be totally wrong. It ends up loading as a thin width bar, aligned to the left of the window rather than a full width bar along the top of the page.

I know that this is likely to be a browser specific issue as chrome seems to work correctly, but if there is anything that can be done to fix it, it would be great.

    Thanks for the awesome plugin,
    Steve

  • Hi, thanks for trying my plugin! 🙂

The resizing/responsiveness of the element is an issue that I’ve been trying to work out for a while, without success so far.

I’m intrigued though, that it doesn’t work in Firefox but does work in Chrome. That shouldn’t happen, and I’d love to see it in action. Can you share a link that I can check out?

I might have an alternative solution for it, but I’ll need to see it first.

    Thanks!

Cheers for the reply. It might be something to do with the javascript used for the plugin but I’m really not that clued up about JS, I’m more involved with css and html…

You can take a look at the site where I’m using the sticky header to see if you can replicate the issues on your system.

I’ll be happy to provide more info if you need it.
