I know this is a popular one, I found a couple of posts, but didn’t seem to fix the issue. Any theme I apply the layout seems broken, instead of it being a 2/3 column page, it’s now showing the content in to the top half of the screen and the side bar underneath it.

I’ve checked a couple of settings in my wordpress installation. One of them was letting wordpress validify XHTML source code, and found another link to make sure some content was within quotes but neither worked. The problems appeared to occur after I updated to the newer wordpress as my themes were running perfect for a while. I’ve only just noticed it on my blog. So may not be related to this.

Can anyone make any suggestions. I self host, I’m happy to research problems myself, but I’m rubbish when it comes to layout. The CSS is broken but I don’t know which files are checked for the layout of the data.

Something also to note, I applied a theme that is most obvious to understand what is missing. The layout appears to be fine if I go to customise, but when I view it live the backing layout is missing

Try clearing your cache – looks like it’s not finding your CSS file.

    Ty WPyogi, it’s now sorted.

It was the plugin W3 Total Cache causing the issue, I disabled all my plugins and it worked, as soon as I re-enabled W3 Total Cache it went wrong again. I’ve tried reactivating each setting one by one to see if it was a specific option but seems OK now.

I’ll play around with it until I can find out if any specific one caused the issue

    Appreciate the help. Thanks 🙂
