    Hi Guys

i am trying to install wordpress though a tutorial i watched on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nse3Gdtvs4

where i have trouble is the famous 5 minute process (i think)

i have done every thing as followed-

    1. Unzip the package in an empty directory
    2. Open up wp-config-sample.php with a text editor like WordPad or similar and fill in your database connection details
    3. Save the file as wp-config.php
    4. Upload everything. (which i uploaded with cyberduck)

now step 5. is where i am stack – Launch /wp-admin/install.php in your browser. This should setup the tables needed for your blog. If there is an error, double check your wp-config.php file, and try again.

i am writing the url of my site but does’t seem to work, i wrote (/wp-admin/install.php) on the end of my domain name but still nothing seems to happen

    could someone help out please..

Did you install WordPress into a folder on your domain, or right into the public_html folder?

Go to yourdomain.com/readme.txt and see if the page loads.

You should get something on the install page, even if it’s an error. But “nothing” implies your server isnt capable of anything.

Either you’re looking in the wrong location (that is – you didn’t put the WP files where you think you did) or something is way wrong in your server. At the very least, you should be getting a 404 error.

Nothing, that is an absolute white page with nothing on it, is a PHP error, and I pointed you at the txt file because there’s NO way you get that with a text file 🙂
