[Resolved] Latin-ext subset for font?

  • Hi,

    First at all – your theme is really great. So simple, minimalistic and just elegant.

    Unfortunately for Decode I live in Poland and there basic latin isn’t enough. We use here diacritical marks, so we need latin-ext. I figured out it’s really simple to make proper changes in functions.php, but it’s inconvenient when update appears.

    I believe you can change this line in master branch:
    wp_register_style( 'decode-font-stylesheet', 'http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Oxygen' );
    to
    wp_register_style( 'decode-font-stylesheet', 'http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Oxygen&subset=latin-ext' );

    It doesn’t make noticeable difference in loading time, but makes your theme just better.

  • Thanks, man! Better language compatibility is something I’ve wanted to add, but I’m sorry to say that I don’t know much about it, only speaking American English and a little Classical Latin. I’ll be sure to add this to the next update in the pipeline!

    Oh, and thanks for the kind words!

    The update with this addition has been submitted. It should be available in a day or two!
