    I’ve had this plugin installed successfully for many years. Recently I turned one of my sites into a MultiSite. This new multisite has been plagued by various troubles, including 500 error and white screen of death. In the process of attempting to suss it all out went to back up before trying something. Noticed that the backup was currently running even though it was 12 hours off the schedule. Turning on debug showed me it had been running for two weeks. I have the current version installed and note one of the bug fixes has to do with this problem. Thought you would like to know. I’ve used phpmyadmin to backup the db and have turned the plugin off for the time being. Thanks, I look forward to having it working again 🙂

    Thanks so much for letting us know about this. We definitely are working on fixing this so that an incomplete backup is turned off after a certain amount of time, regardless of the reason. Was that the only thing you saw when you turned debug on?

    Usually the backup attempting to run in the background, by itself, isn’t enough to cause the 500 error. Do you happen to know what your memory_limit setting is (usually within the php.ini for most hosts)?

    I’m pretty sure the 500 timeout was unrelated to the Backup. Since I submitted this support email, I’ve deleted some outdated plugins and think I have sorted out the major issues. I really appreciate your response 🙂
