It looks like the plugin interjected this code in the footer of my template:

So at the beginning I could see this text with all browsers as long as the plugin was activated. After disabling the plugin I found that you could see it with opera and safari only. Pretty good hack.
Why do you believe it to be this plugin that caused this?

Our Snow Storm plugin definitely doesn’t have erectile dysfunction links or ads or any other ads in it for that matter so it must’ve been something else or the site was hacked. Just like you said.
