Hi, further to the update released today – I use target anchors on my homepage with a javascript scroll-to function to move to links clicked in main menu; this is now not working.

The update today has broken this functionality – now clicking on a homepage menu link to a targeted anchor (also on the homepage) does nothing.

I use twenty seventeen (child) theme with a plugin called ‘options for twenty seventeen’ to enable this function.

I have recreated this on my test site for you to see in the wild – on the main menu under ‘home’ you will see a link ‘middle’ – clicking this does nothing.
This worked perfectly before your update.
Disabling your plugin restores the proper function.

    hope you can help,
    regards
    dave

Thank you for your post, i am not sure what customization you have done previously, did you edit the plugin code or external js code you were using, please share your code so i can suggest a better way.

otherwise, you can still downgrade the plugin version by manually download from here
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-grid/advanced/

at bottom of the link see “PREVIOUS VERSIONS”

    hi, thanks for the reply.

The test site is a fresh install – only 4 plugins are installed: yours, ‘options for twenty seventeen’ ‘classic editor’ and ‘wordfence’.

I havent done anything unusual to the code, or changed the js of any plugin.

The ‘options for twenty seventeen’ plugin, implements the js scroll-to.

I dont really want to revert to an unsupported version, but good to know the option is there.

Are you saying that this bug is specific to my sites?

    kind regards
    dave

I can see there is Uncaught TypeError: jQuery(...).scrollTo is not a function error showing on console area, I am not sure how Post Grid is causing this issue.

Can you please deactivate Post Grid plugin and check the issue is still happening or not.

    Regards

    Hi, thanks for investigating.

I have deactivated Post Grid plugin as requested on the test site.

I can’t see the error any more in console, and scroll is functioning again.

    hope this helps.

    regards
    dave

Hi – any progress on this??

please advise if you are trying to resolve, or if you have determined the problem is not related to post-grid?

As per my reply above, I deactivated your plugin on the test-site and can see there are no errors.

Do you want me to re-active post-grid so you can review/investigate?

Sorry to chase you, however this plugin is now causing a delay launching my client’s site.

    regards
    dave
