Support » Plugin: MailChimp List Subscribe Form » Latest update hardcodes CSS into widget, may cause display issues

  • I’ve been using the MailChimp plugin for a while with no issues. Never had any problems with the connection other users describe.

However, I did have an issue with the latest update hardcoding internal CSS code into the widget output on the front end, which made my signup form look wonky.

The plugin properly enqueues a stylesheet, which I had already deregistered in my theme, so I’m not sure why this new hardcoded CSS was added on top of that.

If you’re noticing style issues after this upgrade, the only way to fix it is to manually remove all the code between the <style> tags in mailchimp_widget.php.

Not an ideal solution, but thought I’d post this here if anyone else is having a similar problem. Hopefully the plugin authors take notice and merge this hardcoded CSS into the already enqueued stylesheet.
