    The latest update to WPSSO appears to have broken my WP site. At least, the site stopped working when I installed the latest WPSSO update 3.46.3, and started working again (apart from WPSSO features) when I deactivated WPSSO and nothing else.

    The home page of my site was displaying correctly with WPSSO activated. But all other pages were showing as bare text and images, most likely because the CSS was not working correctly. I was using the Vantage theme, not recently updated (version 1.6.6), but I don’t think the issue is with this as I had the same problem when I changed temporarily to another theme.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Have you enabled WP_DEBUG or installed the Query Monitor plugin? Please copy-paste any errors in a reply. 😉

    Similar issue for me, only it wasn’t the CSS but the theme header altogether stopped loading, which messed up the entire website layout. I did not do anything except update to the latest version of WPSSO 3.46.3, and after disabling the plugin my website went back to normal.

    @monsuirette You may have missed my reply – did you enable WP_DEBUG or activate the Query Monitor to get the specific error(s)?

    js.

    Sorry, I didn’t have time to do either of these things as the #1 priority for me was to get the LIVE version of my website back to working order. I have a lot of traffic and can’t really afford to turn my site into a platform for debugging a wordpress plugin. Isn’t that up to the developer? (No disrespect intended).

    @monsuirette Not a problem – I would suggest you keep WPSSO disabled until you can offer more information on the issue.

    I installed Query Monitor then reactivated WPSSO. Now the pages that weren’t displaying are displaying OK. I will watch them to check that this continues. But I did find the following in the Query Monitor log:

    Notice (Suppressed) Trying to get property of non-object 1 wp-content/plugins/wpsso/lib/register.php:21
    Wpsso::get_instance()
    wp-content/plugins/wpsso/wpsso.php:475
    Wpsso->__construct()

    I wrote too soon. The site loaded OK on the pages which I refreshed in the same tab (in Chrome on Windows 10), but not when loaded in a new tab. So I need to disable again. Like monsuirette my primary concern is to keep a live website running.

    Fyi, I paid for the Pro version of the plugin.

    So as a paying customer you’re now telling me to either stop using the plugin or endure downtime on my website to debug the latest version for you?

    I would suggest that it would be much easier for you to locate the issue as you are keenly aware, being the plugin developer, of the specific code changes made from the previous version to this one, and therefor narrow it down pretty quickly, wouldn’t you agree?

    @monsuirette As a Pro user, you should open a ticket on the Pro website, as the wordpress.org forum does not offer a reliable response time.

    The plugin has undergone testing on several different test sites. Had there been an error, it would have been detected and fixed before release. It would appear you have a configuration which was not covered by the test sites. You may contribute an error message to help fix the problem, or wait until someone else does.

    Thanks,

    I should add that I am also using WPSSO Place / Location and Local Business Meta, which was also just updated to version 2.3.4, and was effectively deactivated when I deactivated WPSSO.

    This may help: the broken versions of the page don’t load my favicon or the WordPress user header bar (the one with “Howdy, Peter Kirk” and an icon on the right).

    the same here. the theme header altogether stopped loading wtf.

    @peterkirk Thanks for the error message. I just pushed out v3.46.4 to fix that error. 😉

    I can confirm that the new update v3.46.4 has fixed the issue. Thank you for the fast release!

    Just as a side note, as a pro user I did in fact open a ticket on the pro website, and have not yet received a reply after waiting nearly 3 hours. Here the response was a lot faster.

    Thank you for the quick response. That seems to have fixed the problem.
