Downgraded to 2.7.0 – https://wordpress.org/plugins/thirstyaffiliates/advanced/ but all destination urls are still blank!! Is it all gone? My site has several hundred dead links now 🙁 is there any work around?
Thank you for the help
I have the same problem as you have. Do you have some paid add-ons? If so, check if they’re active. As far as i know, no data are lost.
Downgrading to 2.7 isn’t enough, in a few hours, plugin will be once again upgraded to 3.0. Try this:
1. Download 2.7 version and unzip it to your computer
2. Open thirstyaffiliates.php file from the root folder
3. Change:
Version: 2.7.0 to Version: 99.2.7.0
define(‘THIRSTY_VERSION’, ‘2.7.0’, false); to define(‘THIRSTY_VERSION’, ‘99.2.7.0’, false);
4. Upload and rewrite all files to wp-content/plugins/thirstyaffiliates/
“Funny” thing about this is, that earlier today I received an e-mail where authors asked for $$$. 🙂
Hi guys,
This issue is due to the migration not completing us is easily solved by deactivating and reactivating ThirstyaAffiliates.
Please do not implement the work around suggested above, modifying core plugin files is never a good idea.
Let me know how you go!

Hello @jkohlbach
If I update to 3.0 and deactivate, reactivate the plugin, I can see the destination URLs are restoring back, however my links are redirecting to wrong destination and not the ones actually showing. Also, no images on my site are loading.
If I downgrade to 2.7.0, my images are working fine. However, now destination URLs are blank again. Deactivate, reactivate doesn’t help.
Hi @lavishdhand,
Can you please try disabling the Link Fixer module under Settings->Modules? This should fix the image issue.
Can you also give me a sample of your affiliate link destination URL that isn’t working?
Thanks,
Josh
Hello @jkohlbach
Disabling the link fixer module has fixed the image issue. Thank you.
The updated plugin seems to be changing the original ‘destination urls’ that are being submitted. In the old version, it kept the ‘destination urls’ intact and did not add anything to them. Updated plugin is adding a few characters which is breaking the links.
Where do I share the link samples? Can I email you?
Thank you
Ok, I think that ‘special characters’ issue is what I am facing. Waiting for 3.0.1
Thanks you
Hi @lavishdhand,
Would be great if I could see the page that was causing the issues with the images.
Were the images themselves wrapped in an affiliate link?
Did the images have a different CSS class attached?
And did the images completely disappear or were they still there but showing incorrectly?
Sorry for the 20 questions… just want to double check so I can replicate on my end and know we will solve this issue exactly with the patch. I believe we have solved it 🙂
Thanks,
Josh
Forgot to mention, if you like you can email us direct http://thirstyaffiliates.com/support and submit a ticket, I’ll keep an eye out and pick it up.
Hi @jkohlbach !
I have submitted a support ticket with example URLs. I did not have a license key so I am not sure whether you would receive my ticket or not. I have got a confirmation on mail though.
I hope to get this resolved as soon as possible.
Thank you
