Latest release broke the app – no optimisations

    None of my images have been able to be optimised since I upgraded three weeks ago to the latest version.

    Nothing is automatically optimised, and then whenever I try to go in and do them manually through the “unoptimised images” option, I just keep getting the error “temporary failure, seconds left to retry” ,… and it never works. It just basically doesnt do anything anymore ..

    Not sure what is going on here, there have bene no changes to my site except for updating this plugin – and I need to get it working =/

    What happens if you turn off parallel optimization?

    If that doesn’t fix it, check your server logs (or ask your webhost to do so) to see if that tells you why the async requests are being blocked or if there are other errors.

    Finally, if that doesn’t turn up any clues, follow this standard troubleshooting procedure:

    Disable all plugins except EWWW IO. Upload an image, and see if it gets optimized (give it a few minutes, since it is working in the background). Or you can try optimizing one of the ones you’ve uploaded in the last few weeks.
    If that works, then reactivate plugins one by one and try uploading/optimizing an image until it breaks again.

    If it doesn’t work, also switch to one of the default themes to see if your theme is interfering with EWWW’s new background/parallel optimization.
