# Latest Posts – Category Selection

 * First off,
 * thanks so much for the plugin and for the hard work you put into maintaining 
   it.
    It’s been great being able to design pages and posts with the features you’ve
   made available to us.
 * On the recent WordPress Update 5.5, it seems that there are some problems with
   the recent posts block. I can create the block and edit everything the way I 
   want, all but the category selection.
 * I’ve seen two different scenarios but basically the same result. I can click 
   to select the category, but it will not load, change, or apply. If I try to save
   and come back to the page it will show up as never being selected.
 * Pages that I’ve already created are not affected. (As long as I don’t try to 
   change the category) But for all new pages, posts the block category selector
   won’t work.
 * Please assist.

    I suppose the team will be able to work on a fix?

 * Hello, the plugin developers have been notified about the issue and will do their
   best in order to fix it as soon as possible. We will contact you as soon as the
   fix is implemented and released.

   released an updated version where the issue with category selection in the Recent
   Posts block is fixed. Please update the Getwid plugin and let us know if it was
