in last update we didn’t made any change in download code, any widget code updated, it could be something with your server.
BTW. you loved the plugin until last update, but you never came here to rate it, suddenly something wrong happened, probably wpdm may not even the cause for that, but you back here, added a 1* and telling me if I fix you will make it 5*, really very funny. But I understand, that’s how some people behaves.
Anyhow I am again checking wpdm though I’m sure that last update won’t effect download functionality at all.

Well your update broke my website, and broke a lot of others.
The widget needs to have and option to not use the icons on the recent downloads. It is not my server because I have multiple servers with the same issue.
When the links are clicked in the widget, it used to open a window and the download worked when clicking the download button. The download button is no longer functional.
I am a developer myself, and I know how important it is when small changes are made that you do not expect will effect other portions.
When my inbox fills with complaints that my free product can not be downloaded, after updating a plugin, yes it does dramatically change my opinion of the product.
If you look at the stream of complaints since the last update you will see that it is a problem. We are not trying to criticize you but to be partners in giving feedback to help improve your product so more people are inclined to support it.
