Fatal error: Class 'Vectorface\Whip\Whip' not found in /kunden/redacted/webseiten/redacted/wp-content/plugins/wp-statistics/includes/classes/class-wp-statistics.php on line 785

The previous version of WP Statistics worked perfectly fine.
    Running on WP 5.1.1
PHP version on the server is slightly old (5.6.34), could this be the reason?

    Hi,
This Packge is removed in last version.
it seems your update is not complete.
please download WP-Statistics Latest Version zip file and upload your server.

    https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/wp-statistics.12.6.4.zip

Thanks @mehrshaddarzi! What I did previously, because the error was fatal and non recoverable, was to connect via FTP and delete the plugin files. I now installed 12.6.4 from scratch and indeed it works again as expected. It also still had access to former logs and preferences.

I wonder if in the upgrade procedure (clicking on upgrade plugin in the WP interface instead of manually installing) there is actually an issue which does not delete the above mentioned library, so that it has to be done manually. Maybe you want to check?

Otherwise, this issue is resolved as far as I’m concerned. Thank you for your work!

    SOLVED

My WEBSERVER is under NGINX and PHP7.2-FPM with APC module enabled.
APC module cached all composer autoload routines. After reload service PHP-FPM all works great.

    Thank for your great job.

I just barely caught this now. Fortunately, visitors saw the fastcgi cached version of the site so it wasn’t down for them. I had to restart php-fpm to fix this, probably due to opcache caching old code in memory.
