1.5.7 dramatic slow down

    Hi,

    after the latest update (1.5.7), some pages of our website took more than 12 sec to be generated. After inspecting through New Relic we found it was caused by the head hook and specifically by the schema plugin.

    Deactivating it brought the site back to normal.

    WP 4.5.3
    Schema 1.5.7
    Yoast SEO Premium 3.4

    apparently deactivating and reactivating Schema solved the issue.
    Do you wonder why?

    I’ll back writing in this topic if the problem pops up again.

    Are you enabling VideoObject markup?

    This feature is the most resources consuming and it may slow page load, this because the plugin needs to scan page content looking for a video.
