Happy addons and Essential Addons cant not activate together cause white screen

    Yes, me too.

Fatal error: Cannot declare class Happy_Addons\Elementor\Finder, because the name is already in use in domain.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/happy-elementor-addons/classes/finder.php on line 53

    Bloody irritating.

the same issue is getting with me also …is there some way to deal with it

This is a lesson learned. Fancy plugins with lots or free widgets. A small update, I didn’t even make a backup. And it broke a live site. Sloppy of me. And perhaps this plugin should be called Sloppy Elementor Addons? 😉

    Sorry guys

The recent update of Essential Addons, as well as HappyAddons, caused the problem. We (EA and HA) both released the update in a short period of time. And that’s why it was tough to figure out the problem for us.

We’ve fixed the problem in version 2.2.6. Please update to the latest version.

We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience.

What caused it? Are you not using plugin-specific variables and function calls? I am sorry too, for the downtime and for making me look like an idiot. I will not activate this plugin again.

That’s okay , we do like your plugin and appreciate your work @obiplabon . Thanks for the update , now everything is again fine on my website . Thanks alot.

Yes, we’re prefixing as well as we have a unique namespace Happy_Addons. We have a class Happy_Addons\Elementor\Finder which extends Elementor’s Elementor\Core\Common\Modules\Finder\Base_Category class. We’re using this to add a shortcut in Elementor finder.

Before 2.2.6 we were initializing Happy_Addons\Elementor\Finder class in Elementor’s recommended way. But after Essentials Addons latest update somehow EA was loading our class before we are loading! And it’s puzzling us!!! But the problem is fixed.

We’ll be extremely cautious from now on with the updates. Hope you’ll give us a chance.

    Thanks 🙂

Good explanation and excuse. You are forgiven! 🙂

Thank you so much for your kindness @argentum

@alifarhan231087 Thank you very much for your understanding mate

Thanks for your support and patience guys 🙂

Aside question: what happens to an Elementor widget when the plugin is deactivated? Is the widget code removed from the page? This all seems to frail. There should be some WP safety net for occasions like this? Perhaps there already is …

When you deactivate a plugin after using any widget from that plugin you simply don’t see any output of that widget. But the code is still in the database as long as you don’t edit the page. And this is how Elementor handles the stuff.
